Born from a pure passion for stone. Developed to protect it.

Natural stone is remarkable, but it's also unforgiving. Without protection, natural stone can dull, stain or deteriorate, permanently damaging a surface that took millions of years to form. Alixir exists because that problem deserved a better answer.
Since co-founding Allgreen with his brother Harry in 2005, Aleks Norman has spent nearly two decades working with stone from quarry to finished project. That hands-on experience revealed a hard truth: most cleaning and protection products are made for surfaces in general, not for stone specifically, and stone deserves better. That experience led Aleks to work with a leading UK laboratory to research and develop a specialist range created specifically for natural stone.
Based in Somerset, Alixir specialist stone care products are formulated to meet the real challenges stone faces: from everyday maintenance to the toughest problems: organic growth, cement residue, rust, tannin, grease and efflorescence. Today, that same expertise shapes everything we make, because no two stones are alike, and caring for natural stone properly means never treating it like anything else.

At Alixir, we manufacture specialist cleaning and protection products for natural stone, developed by professionals who've spent years working with it, not just studying it from a distance.
We're a family-founded, family-led business, and that shows in everything we do. No two stones are alike: different types react differently, and face different problems in different environments. That's why we don't believe in one-product-fits-all solutions. Instead, our range is built around the real issues natural stone faces, day to day and over a lifetime: from everyday maintenance to organic growth, staining from cement residue, rust, tannin, grease and efflorescence.
Every product we make exists to solve a genuine problem we've encountered with stone, or to prevent one before it starts whilst always respecting the stone's natural characteristics and geological formation. We take the time to fully understand a problem before we develop the solution, and we take just as much care training the professionals who use our products, because the right advice matters as much as the right product.
That methodical, personal approach runs through everything we do, from how we develop and rigorously test every formula, to the guidance we give every customer who trusts us with their stone.
