ALIXIR Stone Protector & Enhancer is a high-performance, water-based impregnating treatment for protecting natural stone, concrete and porous surfaces providing a enhanced finish. Once applied, it penetrates the substrate to provide long-lasting resistance to staining, weathering and oil or water-borne contaminants
ALIXIR Stone Protector & Enhancer provides a enhanced finish whilst forming a protective film which facilitates easier cleaning and maintenance, providing resistance against stains and weathering including food and drink staining, fuel and oil spillages, de-icing salts, pollution build-up and general dirt contaminants. It also helps protect against biological growth such as algae, moss and lichen, reduces the impact of freeze-thaw cycles and assists with the removal of chewing gum, graffiti and bird fouling.
ALIXIR Stone Protector & Enhancer is suitable for both facades and ground surfaces, with performance durability of up to 10 years on vertical applications and 5 years on horizontal applications.
How
it works
ALIXIR Stone Enhancer is an advanced acrylic and methacrylic copolymer technology combined with a self-cross-linking polyester polyurethane system forming a protective film that provides a subtle lustre finish. This protective film results in contaminants remaining on the surface, allowing simple cleaning to remove stains that would otherwise be difficult to clean off.

Application Instructions
Always test a small hidden area before use. Shake container well before use. Ensure the substrate is clean, dry and free from dust, dirt, oil, efflorescence, organic growth and any coatings and damages repaired. Apply using a brush or roller ensuring the surface is evenly saturated, working from bottom to top on vertical surfaces and avoiding runs. 1–3 applications recommended for best results. Subsequent applications must be applied “wet on wet". Mop up any pooling. Do not apply over non-absorbent surfaces. Substrate and ambient temperatures should be between +5°C and +30°C, with a maximum substrate moisture of 5%.

Aqueous copolymer dispersion of acrylic and methacrylic esters. Colour: White. Odour: Barely perceptible. Form: Low Viscosity Liquid. Specific gravity: 1.01@ 25ºC. pH: 7. Application Temperatures:>+5C & <+30ºC. Low VOC. UV Resistant.
Coverage depends on substrate porosity. Guidence per coat:
4–6 m²/litre.
Surfaces must be treated to saturation “wet on wet” for full efficiency. Always trial a small area to confirm true consumption.
Equipment Cleaning
Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with water.
Storage & Shelf Life
Store in a dry place, away from frost and heat, in a temperature between 5°C and 30°C. Shelf life is 24 months from the production batch date when kept in the original unopened container.
Recommendations & Curing
Do not apply if rain is expected within 4 hours. Water repellence is evident after initial curing but may take up to 7 days to reach 100% efficiency. Notes: The technical data provided is based on laboratory tests and some variations may occur on large areas and unknown substrates. Do not allow the applied product to dry during the ‘wet-on-wet’ application process. Do not apply during rain or frost,or when surface and air temperature is <5°C and >50°C.
