Description
ALIXIR Stone Intensifier is a high-performance treatment providing a colour-intensifying finish and protecting natural stone, concrete and porous surfaces. Once applied, the formulation reacts chemically with the substrate to create a hard, durable finish while maintaining vapour permeability, allowing moisture within the surface to escape naturally.
ALIXIR Stone Intensifier provides a colour-intensifying finish whilst providing protection which facilitates easier cleaning and maintenance, providing resistance against stains and weathering including food and drink staining, fuel and oil spillages, de-icing salts, pollution build-up and general dirt contaminants. It also helps protect against biological growth such as algae, moss and lichen, reduces the impact of freeze-thaw cycles and assists with the removal of chewing gum, graffiti and bird fouling.
A single application delivers a flat, natural finish, while an additional coat can be used to create a sheen, offering flexibility depending on the desired aesthetic outcome.
ALIXIR Stone Intensifier is suitable for ground surfaces, with performance durability of up to 5 years.
How
it works
ALIXIR Stone Intensifier is an advanced silane/siloxane resin network with multi-molecular weight polymers which absorbs into the substrate and undergoes a cross-linking reaction making the treatment a permanent part of the substrate rather than a film. This treatment provides a colour-intensifying finish protecting the surface resulting in contaminants remaining on the surface, allowing simple cleaning to remove stains that would otherwise be difficult to clean off.
Performance
Ground surface: 5 to 10 years depending on the degree of traffic.
Application Instructions
Always test a small hidden area before use. Shake container well before use. Ensure the substrate is clean, dry and free from dust, dirt, oil, efflorescence, organic growth and any coatings and damages repaired. Apply using a short pile roller or paint pad ensuring the surface is evenly saturated. Subsequent applications should be applied within 20 minutes of the first coat. Do not apply over non-absorbent surfaces. Substrate and ambient temperatures should be between +10°C and +25°C

Coverage Rate
Coverage depends on substrate porosity. Guidence per coat:
Dense limestone up to 30 m²/litre
Always trial a small area to confirm true consumption.
Equipment Cleaning
Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with water.
Storage & Shelf Life
Store in a dry place, away from frost and heat, in a temperature between 5°C and 30°C. Shelf life is 24 months from the production batch date when kept in the original unopened container.
Recommendations & Curing
Do not apply if rain is expected within 4 hours. Initial water repellence is evident after curing, though the formulation may take up to 7 days to reach 100% efficiency. This treatment is not suitable for non-porous substrates such as polished stone or engineering bricks. Do not apply during rain or frost, or when surface and air temperatures are below 5°C or above 30°C. Technical data is based on laboratory testing; variations may occur on large areas or unknown substrates, so always perform a trial application to confirm suitability and finish.

Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.
Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking.
IF ON SKIN (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water.
IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.
IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting.
Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep cool.
